I’m sharing you the easy way on how to make mixed berry nice-cream or smoothie bowl! I’m definitely jumping into the craze of smoothie bowls and nice cream! I’ve seen a lot of colourful, beautiful and healthy looking smoothie bowls all over instagram and it really inspired me. I noticed that most of the recipe requires different kinds of food powders that are very hard to find. They also come in big serving like for 2-3 persons. What if you just want to have it for yourself? Sometimes it is difficult to adjust measurement as not everyone likes doing the math. I don’t either.
That’s why I’m here! I want to explore the smoothie bowl and nice-cream world and create recipes that are easy to make. I will also share recipes that are good for one person as well as for group to share.
On the other hand, I’m sharing you the first smoothie bowl recipe that I made. It is actually a nice-cream. I wanted to take some good photos of it and after the shoot, it melted a little bit (as you can see on the photo). It turned into a smoothie like consistency but still good! I made a mixed berry nice-cream because berries are the most popular and easiest to find ingredient out there. Berries are also considered to be one of the super foods. It is rich in vitamins and antioxidants, which help keep free radicals under control. It is also high in fiber, help fight inflammation, as well as lower cholesterol levels, and many more.
Most of the ingredients used are available in your regular grocery store and easy to find. You will also need a blender to mix everything up, and a bowl or a jar. Also, don’t forget your cellphone! Take a photo before you dig in and share it in your social media. Most of all, do not forget to tag us in instagram @beyond.the.slice. We love to see what you make!
Then, what are you waiting for? Here’s the easy, no fuzz, one bowl, smoothie bowl recipe, the Mixed Berry Nice-Cream Recipe.

- 1-2 tbsp greek yogurt (I love using vanilla) - optional
Toppings
- Frozen or fresh berries
- 1 tbsp granola
- 1 tbsp chopped dark chocolate
- You can put any toppings of your choice.
Instructions
1. Put all ingredients in a blender and mix everything until thick and creamy. It should look like an ice cream consistency.
2. Transfer into a bowl and sprinkle the toppings any way you want it. Dig in and enjoy!
